And also, hopefully your daughter is the future for many Christians. That is so exciting to hear that she knows her faith well enough. Gosh.. wonder who encouraged her to learn, hmm? :-)

You almost feel sorry for those who bash Catholicism. It's like using a BB gun to shoot at a naval ship.Mary Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04107504165449607702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781753636089506134.post-43970465464084921922009-05-06T00:39:00.000-04:002009-05-06T00:39:00.000-04:00My daughter is in grade 8 and her socials studies ...My daughter is in grade 8 and her socials studies (and science) teacher is very anti-Catholic. He takes every opportunity to denigrade the Catholic faith. when he taught the Crusades, he had a field day, calling Catholics murderers and hyprocrits.

Now he is at it again. My daughter has to listen to him stand at the front of the class, telling all the students how bad the Catholic faith is. She put up her hand and told him she was Catholic, and that was her faith he was bashing.

She is a fiesty one, and she knows her faith well enough to correct him on every falsified point.

She can't wait for tomorrow.paramedicgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17524363951843887071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781753636089506134.post-46989348852383873642009-05-05T04:38:00.000-04:002009-05-05T04:38:00.000-04:00I used to frequent COF last year, but my user name...I used to frequent COF last year, but my user name is "Candida." I never used 'zinkpoe' and to be honest, I thought it was a fairly unusual name. (My COF account's email is the 'zinkpoe' one, though.) It has sort of an interesting story: it was given to me by someone goofing around with my online name "pinkzoe." When I first entered into the world of online forums, I created the name "pinkzoe146."

"Zoe" is Greek for life and "146" is from John 14:6 where Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." Since someone already had "zoe146", I added "pink" since I liked the color.

Years ago, I belonged to an online writing forum and the moderator liked to switch words around, which is how I came to be known as "zinkpoe."

So... now I'm wondering if there is someone with that name who is causing problems at COF! ;-) Hopefully not!

BTW, I have comment moderation still on because some goofball keeps spamming one of my posts with a "spiritual astrology" link. Hopefully they'll stop in a week or so.Mary Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04107504165449607702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781753636089506134.post-42806695235367658712009-05-04T21:43:00.000-04:002009-05-04T21:43:00.000-04:00I've "seen" 'zinkpoe' on Catholic Online Forum.I've "seen" 'zinkpoe' on Catholic Online Forum.Xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08046773358292402621noreply@blogger.com
