Usually, I can only slip in for 15 minutes prior to work (unless I have a day off!), but even then, I hate to miss it. My schedule is such lately that I'm missing my Wednesday morning slot in order to get a ride to work, but I may change that...

...and I actually am in a workplace where we have Adoration every First Friday for four hours, and I have a regular half-hour slot there. Which is a splendid bonus!

The longer I do this, the more convinced I become that nothing else is quite like Adoration. It's irreplaceable, and I'm looking forward even as I type this to my 15 minutes tomorrow morning!

IMHO, you do Adoration during Lent, you'll get so hooked you'll never want to stop it. :-)

JannyJannyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06725527285837338560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781753636089506134.post-72480491150195971952009-02-25T05:27:00.000-05:002009-02-25T05:27:00.000-05:00Beautiful thoughts, everyone! And nice to meet another Prodigal Daughter! :-)

It shouldn't be a surprise that the parishes that honor Jesus Christ and adore Him would thrive. What touched me about all the stories here was that you all felt closer to the Lord after doing it. That is awesome. Thank you for sharing.Mary Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04107504165449607702noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781753636089506134.post-2774900161012787372009-02-25T02:25:00.000-05:002009-02-25T02:25:00.000-05:00I love it and don't get there nearly enough. Many times I would find some little book or prayer card there that was exactly what I needed to read at that moment. My friend calls Adoration - the University of the Eucharist - you'll see why very shortly. Enjoy and be blessed!Xhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08046773358292402621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8781753636089506134.post-47348629613307411142009-02-24T22:20:00.000-05:002009-02-24T22:20:00.000-05:00I think you will enjoy it. I've gone upset, angry, when I didn't really want to go..and I always come out calm and more peaceful.

I had a hard time at first, and still on some occasions, but it is so worth it. I have been a committed adorer for the last 5-1/2 years. My hour with Jesus is midnight Sundays. It is the best hour of my week and I believe it sets the tone for the rest of my week. I also believe that it has much to do with why our parish thrives. The chapel was opened on Dec 8, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception so I'm sure Our Lady has something to do with it. Knowing that I can go and be with Jesus anytime day or night is a very comforting thought. I also realize how blessed as a parish we are- not every parish can do this.
Adding Adoration during Lent is a wonderful way to show devotion to our Lord and I'm sure he will bestow many graces upon you during this time.
Have a blessed Lent.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15124468084334204166noreply@blogger.com
